Elinaj Janile is the founder and creator of an event called The Gathering. I began building this vision in 1996 at a time when music culture was thriving in the city of Philadelphia. It has now gone on to become the longest running music venue in Philly while creating a space for local artist to display their skills on various levels, it has crossed many dividing lines between all races and economic classes, it has created opportunies for countless dedicated individuals. Special thanks to Theo Chung, who went on to become the President of Doggy Style records and Snoop Dogg's business manager, for assisting me with writing the proposal to establish this event on the campus of The University of Pennsylvania, where it is still being held today. Also, a special thanks to the Momsug Dojo and all the many artist that helped to keep this event progressive for nearly 20 years strong!
